so life is definitely taking a different turn starting this weekend. first i come back from sanya, more charged, more competitive (as least this may be the beginning), more aspired to enjoy the finer things in life, more driven to provide for my aspiration to enjoy the finer things in life.

i also flew back to rainy shanghai from sunny sanya for one of my best friends' house party. we'd worked out a pretty good routine where all of us show up, and either help with serving guests, or socialise.

tonight i met a girl who's starting her own private equity specialising in consumer goods, and i found out that a friend had been accumulating assets since 12, several houses in hk and sh, gold bars etc etc under her belt.

me: dude, can you believe this?

nicci: fark, now i feel like an underachiever.

okay. no underachieving, what we have is still time. things need to start, NOW.

insomnia

this is crazy. I am in the most comfortable room and my natural ability to sleep anywhere had failed me, again, consistently for a month now.

the only time I remember going for eight hour straight is assisted by medication. what is wrong?!

looking forward to two weeks of singapore.

not a happy camper at the moment.

on a good note, had dinner with new colleagues. they are all very nice. sweet. see, everything is in order, what's wrong????!!!!

it can't be my two-tone hair (sigh need to go dark again, I look like an ah lian too poor to touch up on mu outgrown roots. yucks), or can it?

I cld get used to this

Ain't too sure what to expect in sanya but this had exceed my expectation. been too used to Chinese hotel where having instant coffee in the room is considered a luxury.

the sanya ritz carlton, ladies and gentleman.

someone knocked and asked whether I wld like my bed turned in for bedtime. hell, yes.

and I thought I was opening a closet to put my bag. it's a bloody walk in wardrobe.

my l-shaped sofa

my bath tub for next two days

after laos, i realised i am too old for the rugged travel. this should be the standard, not the exception.

sanya

I am supposed to be excited about going to sanya ritz carlton, but I am not.

Not sure how my to-be new colleagues are like, spoke with several of them and they all seem to be very nice. but just a bit nervous.

woke up to a message from ritz carlton to remind me to bring sunscreen and that pick up service had been arranged.

weather in sanya: 26 - 34, sunny.
